Our Weight Loss Procedures

 Lap-Band AP System®

The LAP-BAND System is a prosthetic device made out of plastic. It was FDA approved for the treatment of weight loss in the middle of 2001 after being studied in the United States. The Europeans and Australians have had experience using the LAP-BAND System for over five years. Realize Band™

Similar to the Lap-Band, surgeons create small incisions in the abdomen to insert surgical instruments and a camera (laparoscope). The ROSE procedure (Restorative Obesity Surgery, Endolumenal) provides an incisionless surgical option to restore gastric bypass patients’ anatomy to closely match original post-surgery sizes.  Read more>>

StomaphyX

Also called Natural Orifice Surgery, the StomaphyX procedure is performed using an endoscope through the mouth thereby avoiding the need for surgery. This minimizes any discomfort and allows a person to recover in one day. Most importantly, StomaphyX can help you to lose weight. Read more>>

Traditional Laparoscopic Revision

At The N.E.W. Program, we offer corrective surgery to those patients who have had prior bariatric surgery with less than a satisfactory result. Often, we are able to offer an option between natural orifice surgery and laparoscopic corrective surgery, however, we will generally recommend a specific procedure depending on which method will be the safest and most effective.  Read more>>
