In 2005, we moved into our new,
7,000-square foot office in Newport Beach, just off the 73
Freeway at Campus Drive. Our new bariatric center
includes a patient education center,
an entire multidisciplinary clinical team, and is also
the headquarters for The American Foundation for
Obesity Research (AFOR).

Dr. Brian Quebbemann has been performing the
Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass and the LAP-BAND®
procedure at South Coast Medical Center since 2003.
The hospital has a fully integrated team of
bariatric anesthesiologists and trained nursing. The
Administration, under the CEO, Bruce Christian, has been
very progressive in developing an integrated team
approach to the program’s success.
