Nutritional
Guidelines The forms included in this
section are designed to help bariatric surgery
patients achieve the maximum improvement in quality
of life, nutrition and weight control. We have found
that, when patients follow our few simple
recommendations, that they almost invariably enjoy a
dramatic improvement in quality of life after
surgery. We have also found that, although food and
eating plays a more balanced role in their lives,
our patients often feel more enjoyment with eating
after surgery than they did before surgery. This is
sometimes due to changes in food preferences, a
generally healthier and more rewarding diet, lack of
guilt when eating food or simply elimination of what
we call "the diet and self-persecution mentality."
The downloadable forms below are designed to help
post-surgical patients achieve these results.
